Roedel
Roedel is a street phenomena where audience can enjoy the behaviour of an artificial, but yet lively set of indigious animals: a herd of bucketbeasts. What? Bucketbeasts? A Bucketbeast is a large old-fashion steel bucket on high legs of 1,75 meter, a completely artificial set of mechanics wich suggest to be a living creature. The beasts are able to walk, tremble, eat, shit, piss etcetera. Except of being a mechanical device, it simply is an animal-like creature with an explicit character. Roedel is a lively street installation for many spectators, a mirror for everyone who feels familiar with live stock. On a daily bases Roedel is alive for 6 hours continuously. Roedel was made by Doan Hendriks and Geert Jonkers for Odd Enjinears Amsterdam © All images, texts and the idea of the artists work are subject to the German copyright law and if pro rata the relevant collecting society and if pro rata the photographer.
