Kuk-Taek Jeong is a sculpture who represents busy modern people in
repeated daily life with stainless steel. Thefigures made by him are
commonly simplified with cylinder head, body, domed joints and hips,
so it is possible to symbolize more of symbol than figures of
individuality. Therefore, his anonymous figures express human beings
who live with various activities and moving images in everyday life
through different poses.
He shows new pieces of work which make better use of a factor
'movement' than existing works in this exhibition. 'pivotman' mixed
with 'pivot', the center of object and axis and 'man' means central
athlete in sports events. It exhibits moving sculptures' character
using center of gravity principle of weight in this exhibition. In his
works, the props which are fixed for figures are the parts of works
with the figures such as globular form, cylindrical form, cones, and
