Mathilda (2010) is a custom made rythm machine for the Dutch rock band De Staat. It is used as rythmic machine in De Staat's music, and as inspiration for their album 'Machinery'. The work plays live on stage at many big pop music stages throughout Europe. Critics described it as 'Tinguely meets Tom Waits'. Mathilda is built by Geert Jonkers and Doan Hendriks.
